Tema Shongwe
VP, Careers
A proud liSwati, Tema Shongwe is a dual MBA/MA candidate at The Wharton School and The Lauder Institute, where she focuses on Finance and International Studies with a regional concentration on Africa. Prior to Wharton, she worked at Analysis Group, an international economic consulting firm, where she supported multinational clients in high-stakes litigation and strategic business challenges. Most recently, Tema was an Investment Banking Summer Associate at Morgan Stanley, gaining experience across the Consumer Retail and Transportation sectors. Motivated by a commitment to contribute to Africa’s development story, Tema aims to leverage her background in economics, finance, and African studies to foster sustainable and inclusive growth across the continent. She envisions a future where African communities capture long-term value from the continent’s resources and where regional integration transforms Africa from a source of raw materials into an influential global trade partner.
