Charles Abedier

Senior Investment Officer, International Finance Corporation
Charles Abedier is a seasoned investment professional with extensive experience in structuring and managing infrastructure projects across emerging markets. He currently serves as Senior Investment Officer for the Infrastructure team at the International Finance Corporation. Before joining IFC, Charles was a Principal Investment Officer at the African Development Bank, where he played a pivotal role in financing transformative infrastructure initiatives. His career also includes roles at Ernst & Young, Citibank, and BNP Paribas in France, where he gained strong expertise in finance, strategy, and capital markets. Charles holds an MBA at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in finance and Corporate Strategy from Sciences Po Paris. He also earned a Certificate in Management and Leadership from Harvard Business School. Charles is a Young Leader of the Milken Institute and a Member of the NextGen Unicef New York. Passionate about entrepreneurship, Charles invests through the Wharton Alumni Network Angel and CIBAN Angel Investors. He is fluent in French and English.
