Dr. Garry Conille
Former Prime Minister of Haiti & Senior UN Development Official-Africa 7 Carribean
Dr. Conille is a globally respected development leader and former Prime Minister of Haiti with 30+ years of experience in governance, diplomacy, and multilateral leadership across Africa, the Caribbean, and beyond. A seasoned United Nations official, he has served as Resident Coordinator in Burundi, Jamaica, the Bahamas, and Bermuda, leading national development strategies and government partnerships. He has also played pivotal roles on the world stage — from advising President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf on integrating African perspectives into the UN Sustainable Development Goals to serving as Chief of Staff to President Bill Clinton during his tenure as UN Special Envoy for Haiti. Today, at UNICEF, he spearheads the rollout of global Centres of Excellence to strengthen technical support to governments. Fluent in French, English, and Haitian Creole, Dr. Conille is recognized worldwide for his diplomacy, integrity, and enduring commitment to equitable development.
