Chukwudi Anagbogu

Apple’s Content Business Development team,
Chukwudi ‘Chu’ Anagbogu is a member of the Content Business Development team at Apple, where he focuses on strategic licensing and commercial partnership deals. In this role, he leads negotiations with major and indie record labels that secure rights for high-value global partnerships, design innovative licensing models, and expand Apple Music’s global reach in key markets. Most recently, he spearheaded the label rights negotiations for Apple’s first large-scale U.S. credit card partnership with Chase Sapphire Reserve, embedding Apple Music as a core benefit and unlocking exclusive experiences for cardholders and Apple Music subscribers. He has also advanced Apple Music’s growth in Africa, including structuring partnerships with MTN Nigeria, the continent’s largest telecom provider, to broaden access and deepen cultural engagement. Prior to Apple, Chu built his career in finance and consulting with Citi, PwC, Jefferies, and Prudential, where he advised clients on billion dollar financings, M&A transactions, and corporate strategy. While working in finance, he also lived as an artist, teaching himself to sing and produce, releasing music and earning recognition from major DSPs, including Artist of the Week on Apple Music’s Africa Now radio and The Nadeska Show. This rare path, at the intersection of finance and melodies, ultimately led him to Apple Music, where he brings both commercial expertise and cultural perspective to the business of music. Outside of work, Chu is guided by a vision to bring Africa to the world. He is passionate about artist development and discovery, mentoring emerging talent as they expand their reach globally. He is also an avid soccer fan and traveler.
